Therapeutic Usage
- Headache – Juice of neem leaves is extracted and used as collyrium relieves headache instantaneously.
- Hair Fall – Hair is washed with the decoction (neem leaves made to boil in water) of neem leaves. This helps in not stopping hair fall but also stabilizes its blackness, grow hair longer, kills lice and other infesting insects as well
- Lice infection – Application of neem oil on regular basis kills lice and other insects.
- Night Blindness (blind during the period of night but during day time the affected ones eyesight seems to be perfectly all right) – Pound neem leaves in a mortar and make into thin paste by mixing with required amount of water. Then squeeze the juice out through a clean piece of cloth and should be applied to the eye using an eye rod.
- Conjunctivitis – The juice(swarasa) of neem leaves is taken and is warmed a little on fire and a few drops is poured into the ear opposite the ailing eye.This provides steady relief and few more application lead to complete cure.
- Ear Ache – Steam fomentation (swedana) with neem decoction provides immediate cure in this condition. Take a hand full of neem leaves, boil them in sufficient quantity of water and let the steam pass through ear.
- Deafness – Put 2 drops of lukewarm neem oil in the ear every morning and evening relieves deafness.
- Sore Throat – Squeeze out the juice of neem leaves and add a little quantity of pure honey to it. Then gargle the juice after a little warming.
- Asthma – Neem oil (25-40 drops) should be given to the patient in a betal leaf or capsule.
- Bladder stone – Burnt leaves of neem with water in about 2 – 3 grams dosage should be taken regularly which helps in washing away stone from bladder.
